FACEBOOK CALLS CEGLIA OWNERSHIP LAWSUIT A "FRAUD"
(FindLaw's Courtside) Facebook and its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, have responded to a lawsuit filed by Paul Ceglia alleging that a contract with Zuckerberg gives Ceglia a 50 percent stake in the social networking giant. In their answer to Ceglia's complaint, Zuckerberg and Facebook call the suit "a brazen and outrageous fraud on the Court" by an "inveterate scam artist."

GOOGLE, PAYPAL TUSSLE OVER MOBILE PAYMENT SECRETS
(AP) - Google Inc.'s ambitious plan to supplant credit cards with smartphones has thrust the Internet search leader into a legal tussle with online payment pioneer PayPal, which contends Google stole its ideas by hiring away two key executives.

NYC JUDGE ALLOWS LAWSUIT AGAINST HUFFINGTON POST
(AP) - A judge on Tuesday refused to throw out a lawsuit by two Democratic political consultants who allege that The Huffington Post's founders stole the idea for the online news website from them.

SIMONOFF V. EXPEDIA, INC., 10-35595
(U.S. 9th Cir.) - In a dispute involving the scope of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACTA), Rule 12(b)(6) dismissal by the district court is affirmed because under the FACTA, a receipt that is transmitted to the consumer via email and then digitally displayed on the consumer's screen is not an electronically printed receipt.

BENQ AMERICA CORP. V. US, 2010-1259
(United States Federal Circuit) - In a trade dispute invovling the proper classification of certain LCD monitors imported from China, judgment of the trial court classifying imports under subheading 8528.21.70 of the HTSUS is reversed where court erred in not conducting a principal use analysis with respect to the imported goods.

GLOBAL-TECH APPLIANCES, INC. V. SEB S. A., 10-6
(United States Supreme Court)- In a patent dispute involving the scope of 35 U. S. C. section 271(b), judgment of the appeals court is affirmed where an induced infringement action under section 271(b) requires knowledge that the induced acts constitute patent infringement.
