EFFECTIVE TIPS ON HOW TO USE SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
(Eric Sinrod) - Initially, some companies were reluctant to embrace social media, perhaps being concerned about lack of control and other issues. However, as the world truly has migrated to social media sites (with Facebook boasting hundreds of millions of users), there now is little doubt that most companies now want to embrace social networking as a way to get the word out about their products and services. But, what are the best strategies for businesses to employ in the social media context?

THE MOST-VISITED LAW PROFESSOR LAW BLOGS
(FindLaw's Greedy Associates) - How many of you wish you could knock out some of those required continuing education credits with a little blog reading? Well you can't, so deal with it. Or, at the very least, be wise with your time and only read the ones that everyone else does. Seriously--you already permitted law school and law firm rankings to dictate your career path, so why not let visitor numbers dictate what you read?

PROFESSOR CHARGED WITH BATTERY FOR CLOSING STUDENT'S LAPTOP SCREEN
(FindLaw's Greedy Associates) - For many, memories of law school classes include a laptop. You're sitting there, pretending to listen intently in your Corporations class while you scan fantasy football stats or cute kittens frolicking on YouTube. Now imagine if that law professor were to make his way over to you and shut your laptop screen. What do you do? Your a law student, so naturally you would sue him immediately.

FACEBOOK LITIGATION: TEACHER SUED FOR MOCKING STUDENT'S HAIRSTYLE
(FindLaw's Strategist) - Facebook now has half a billion (with a "b") users worldwide. New lawsuits and evidence are born on the website every time someone posts to a Wall online. Here's another example of how Facebook litigation is fast becoming the wave of the future. After Lucinda Williams outfitted her 7-year-old daughter with Jolly Rancher hair, she sent her off to Chicago's Overton Elementary for its scheduled picture day. Unfortunately, the girl's computer teacher was amused by the look, taking a photo to share with her Facebook friends.

STRICTLY GADGETS:

A LAWYER'S IPAD NEEDS A REMOTE PC CONTROL APP
(FindLaw's Technologist) - Lawyering on the go with your iPad? Want an app that will allow you to view your office computer screen just as though you were sitting on your desk? Of course you do. All you iPad-centric attorneys should consider a remote PC control app, perfect for when you leave a file behind or need to check on something back at the office with a tap of the iPad screen.
