HOW DO PROPERTY TAX RATES WORK?
(FindLaw's Law & Daily Life) - It's that time of year again and some of you should be expecting your property tax bill for the first half of 2011. If that's the case, then you'll probably be wondering just how the government calculates property tax rates and just why your bill seems to change every year. Well, here's an answer to your questions. First, there is a difference between property tax rates and a property tax assessment. The rate is an overall percentage at which your property is taxed. The assessment is a valuation of your property's worth, so that the government can determine how much money it is taxing.

WHAT ARE THESE TRAFFIC TICKET 'POINTS' ABOUT?
(FindLaw's Law & Daily Life) - With gas prices soaring, driving has become more expensive than ever. The last thing anyone needs at this point is a traffic ticket. The worst part about a speeding ticket (and other moving violations) is that it doesn't come and go--it stays with you for at least a few years. In fact, with the help of the traffic ticket points system, your infraction or accident can cost you a lot more down the line. Like your license.

JARED LOUGHNER MENTAL EXAM: CAN HE STAND TRIAL?
(FindLaw's Blotter) - Is Jared Loughner insane? That's up for discussion, but the District Court is going to involve doctors to find out. Loughner will be transported to a federal prison in Springfield, Missouri at some point in the next month in order to undergo a mental evaluation. The health examiners' report will determine whether he can stand trial--not if he is responsible for his crimes. Two mental evaluations must take place during Loughner's trial. One will focus on whether he was legally insane at the time he shot Gabrielle Giffords. But before the court can get to this question, it must first answer the following...

CHRIS BROWN PROBATION: COULD GMA TANTRUM AFFECT HIM IN COURT?
(FindLaw's Celebrity Justice) - The Chris Brown tantrum is a legendary thing. We all remember Rihanna. However, one would think that after six months of court-ordered domestic violence counseling, the singer would have learned to handle a bit of his anger. But with newly bleached hair and armfuls of tattoos, the singer proved that this isn't the case. Nope, upset about Good Morning America anchors asking about Rihanna, he threw a new and approved Chris Brown tantrum.

COMPUTER 'GEEK' MARK BAO CATCHES LAPTOP THIEF, GETS EVEN VIA YOUTUBE
(FindLaw's Legally Weird) - It turns out that the first thing MacBook thieves do when they get their "prizes" home is play with PhotoBooth. The enjoyment of an embedded camera just can't be resisted. If you insist on carrying out a laptop theft, here's some advice: Don't take video of yourself dancing to Tyga's "Make It Rain." Because if you're unlucky enough to steal the computer of someone like Mark Bao, it may just blow up on social media.

Is Mark Bao a fraud? said...

It's been discovered that the whole thing was a lie and people are wondering if Mark Bao isn't a fraud. It's very serious to lie a bout a serious crime and that's what Mark Bao has done here. Is he a conman? Or a sociopath? Are people like Mark Bao becoming mentally ill by their obsession at getting popular on the internet? We hope that people are able to get the help they need before it's too late.
